Civic record-pages · HeardTogether

Civic case files.

Citation-anchored summaries of specific local-government decisions, built for ordinary residents to read before something becomes irreversible. Each file walks through the ordinance text, the timeline, who voted, who’s negotiating, and where the documents live. None of them ask anyone to support or oppose anything.

Lavon, TX — hyperscale data center on the Elevon Parcels 8 & 9

The Lavon City Council amended its Planned Development regulations in December 2024 to allow a hyperscale data center on a 79.3-acre parcel inside the Elevon master-planned community, southwest of FM 2755 and Watkins Road. The land is privately owned. The Lavon EDC and the City are actively marketing it for a hyperscale data center. An Amended and Restated Development Agreement is under closed-session discussion. The residents’ group Protect Lavon formed publicly on 2026-05-22.

The case file includes the verbatim ordinance text, the dimensional standards (85-ft heights, 25/100-ft setbacks, 75% lot coverage), the current Executive Session items (Chalkboard 27, Ignite, Pathways), the next council meeting (June 2, 2026), and a starter comment template residents can edit.

Operating notes

Refresh cadence

The civic section is refreshed daily by an automated script that pulls new lavontx.gov agenda packets and re-runs the signal-term grep. The Lavon case file shows the “last refresh” timestamp at the top of every page. If the timestamp is more than 48 hours stale, the strip turns amber.

What gets updated automatically

New council agendas, new minutes, the “Next meeting” date, and the “new signal terms since last run” list. Substantive interpretation (the framing on the Overview, the comment template) is updated by hand.
